God Loves Sundays (Pack of 10)
Sunday worship is the highlight of God’s week. We could almost imagine God saying on Monday, “Just six more days till Sunday.” On Wednesday, “We are halfway to Sunday.” On Saturday, “Tomorrow’s the big day. I can hardly wait.” The Bible says that God seeks worshipers (John 4:23). He delights in them (Psalm 147:11). A Christian’s prayers “delight” God (Proverbs 15:8).
To borrow the language of Solomon’s love song, we could hear God saying about worship time to each of His children: “Let me see your face, let me hear
your voice” (Song 2:14).
Worship is not simply our duty but our delight. Do you remember how it was when you first came to Christ? Sunday and Wednesday seemed too far apart, much less Sunday to Sunday. This has always been true of God’s people: “When I remember these things, I pour out my soul within me. For I used to go with the multitude; I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept a pilgrim
feast”” (Psalm 42:4).
