Craving God (Pack of 10)
People today are hungry for lots of things. Athletes are said to be hungry when they have a strong competitive spirit. An aspiring businessman is said to be hungry when he is willing to work long hours and do whatever it takes to be successful. Some are hungry for prestige,
riches, honor, fame, or political office (cf. Amos 2:7; Isaiah 55:2).
Lucifer hungered for power; Nebuchadnezzar hungered for praise; the rich fool hungered for ease. These are not the things for which we should hunger (Colossians 3:2). To hunger for wrong things and reject God’s good things causes one to forfeit both.
