What God Needs from the Next Generation (Pack of 10)
God is self-sufficient (Exodus 3:13–14; John 5:26; Acts 17:24–25). His perfection leaves no room for lack (Job 41:11; 1 Chronicles 29:11–14). He owns everything (Psalm 24:1; 50:10–12; 1 Corinthians 10:26). His church came fully furnished (Acts 2). Is there anything we could possibly give God that He does not have? Can we add something to His church?
God buries His workers, but His work goes on. He raises up those He needs to do His work and has them at the right place at the right time. He has often relied on a young person to fill a role. Joseph, Samuel, David, Jonathan, Solomon, Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, Abed-Nego, Josiah, Mary, Jesus—all served God faithfully. Youth are capable (Ecclesiastes 12:1; Matthew 19:20; Acts 26:4; 1 John 2:14), provided they flee lust, follow righteousness, and fellowship the right crowd (2 Timothy 2:22).
This generation of youth face a changing world. Who knows whether you are “come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14).
